Grateful Gallery opened in 2025 with a group show showcasing local artists in Glasgow. Pictured is my contribution to this exhibhiton. I built the bench from plywood and pine, and created this design inspired by depictions of human faces within Celtic art. I paired the illustrations with some playful warped text, helping to create contrast and a distinctive overall finish.

Whether it be a friend or a loved one, the bench is intended as an invitation for conversation and connection between two people — a gentle but important reminder, in an age of phone dependency and constant digital distraction, to slow down, be present, and engage with one another face to face.
